October 5th, 2010: European Technical Approval for Flexible Couplings

The first and unique European Technical Approval for flexible couplings has been launched. It covers the multimaterial jointing for ALL pipe materials for the following product groups: Standard Couplings Canada Plus Type 2B, Bushes, Adaptor Couplings and Drain Couplings.  27 European testing boards accepted and validated the ETA-Approval for their domestic markets. September 20th, 2010: EASY-REP

EASY-REP is a rubber flexible repair coupling supplied in an easy to install kit form for ALL pipe materials available from DN 300. EASY-REP is designed to allow pipe repairs to be carried out to sewerage and drainage pipelines which have been subject to local damage or cracks, without the need to replace the section of pipe or even to stop the flow of water whilst carrying out the repair. EASY-REP can be used to repair low pressure pipes of ALL pipe materials and once installed in accordance with the instructions, repairs are reliable, permanent and will resist an internal water pressure of up to 0.5 bar. EASY-REP has been designed to the same profile of our Standard Coupling Canada Plus, Type 2B, with a width of 190 mm and is manufactured to customer´s specific size requirements. July 15th, 2010: Advanced Bolting System

All of our large diameter couplings and all extra wide couplings are fitted with the all new patent registered advanced bolting system manufactured from stainless steel grade 1.4401 (AISI 316). The purpose of this new development is to make the installation of the coupling to the pipe considerably quicker and much easier. The new bolting system has been developed to allow the use of a standard 13mm socket wrench which will reduce installation time by more than 50%. Mücher Dichtungen, the world-wide market leader for flexible couplings, is permanently setting new standards with regards to quality and product innovation. Mücher couplings withstand 2.5 bar of internal water pressure compared to just 1.0 bar offered by our competitors. Mücher use TOX-Technology to join the clamps to the shear band. Our competitors spot weld their clamps which burns the stainless steel, possibly resulting in corrosion. The unique "lock in place" profile of the rubber sleeve ensures that the clamps and shear band remain firmly in place during transit. For ease of installation, our new patent-registered bolting system enables the installer to use a standard 13mm socket wrench instead of an awkward open ended spanner. Mücher Standard Couplings comply with and exceed the requirements of the Water Industry Specification (WIS 4-41-01) and have recently been certified with the European Technical Approval. June 7th, 2010: IFAT Entsorga Munich 2010

The most important show world-wide for WATER, SEWERAGE, REFUSE and RECYCLING is taking place in Munich, Germany already in September 2010. From its former 3 year cycle the show is now switching to a 2 year cycle, second next IFAT will take place in May 2012 then. As we are doing it for more than 40 years, MÜCHER will exhibit again this year. You will find us in hall 6B, stand 221/322. Please mark this September date for your MÜCHER visit at IFAT. January 5th, 2010: Recertification of Quality Management System

The Quality Management System is in the focus of the company. Mücher is certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001 since 1993. In line with the recertification Mücher now received the new certificate for a perfectly working Quality Management System according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 which will be valid for another 3 years until end of January 2013.   Download Certificate
