Mücher Canada Plus, Type 2A Couplings are primarily designed for joining clay pipes in sewerage, drainage and other non-pressure applications. Whereas the Canada Plus, Type 2B Couplings are conform to WIS 4-41-01, Z-42.5-373 and Avis Technique 17/05-165*V1, the Canada Plus, Type 2A is only conform to the European standards DIN EN 295-4 and DIN EN 681-1.
The elimination of spot-welds on the shear band and their replacement with fasteners using TOX®-Technology enhances the corrosion resistance of the couplings. They can resist a pressure of 0.6 bar.
Uses:
- On public sewers.
- As a joint for plain ended clay pipes with the same outside diameters.
- Where a post connection is required to an existing drain or sewer.
- The repair of existing pipelines by the insertion of a new length of pipe.
